After 9 months of residing in an experimental state, the F.D.A. has removed the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine from Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), and has officially approved it for use in preventing coronavirus.
President Biden stated to business owners across America, [now that the vaccine is approved] “Do what I did last month. Require your employees to get vaccinated or face strict requirements.”
“Mandates simplify things for people.” stated Alison Buttenheim, an associate professor of nursing at the University of Pennsylvania and a self proclaimed “expert on vaccine hesitancy”.
“This is a pivotal moment for our country in the fight against the pandemic,” Dr. Janet Woodcock, the acting F.D.A. commissioner, told reporters. “The public can be confident that this vaccine meets the F.D.A.’s gold standard for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality that we require for an approved product.”
Dr. Woodcock stated further concerns that there has not been enough data from clinical trials on safety or dosage for children under 12. Keep in mind, this now “fully approved” Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is still in Emergency Use Authorization for children ages 12 to 15.
The F.D.A. fully approved the Pfizer-BioNTech concoction in 97 days, after submitting “hundreds of thousands” of documents for review. Officials said they were able to decide in “less than half” the usual time it normally takes to gain approval.
“I think we just have to keep people calm,” said Dr. Jesse L. Goodman, a former chief scientist at the F.D.A. describing their strategy to encourage more people to take the vaccine.
“We certainly want to make sure that we get it right in the children ages 5 through 11,” said Dr. Peter Marks, the F.D.A.’s top vaccine regulator, “and then even in younger children after that.” he planned.
With the delta variant throwing our country into mass hysteria, the F.D.A.’s most recent data suggests the original two dose [and single dose] vaccines are still 91% effective against coronavirus.
Is this the next step in forcing vaccinations? With major cities across America mandating vaccines in order to participate in society, now with full approval, there is now less ground to resist. Further removing our ability to utilize our constitutional rights, the only reason the government was put in power to begin with: to protect the rights of the American citizen.
