Vice President Kamala Harris visited Guatemala today to speak on behalf of our country about the US Border Illegal Immigration Crisis.
During her speech she stated “…I want to be clear, to folks in this region, who are thinking about making that dangerous trek, to the United States-Mexico Border: Do not come”
This statement seems to be the direct opposite response our President (who has also avoided the Illegal Immigration issue) has said since before his first day in office. Our US Border has many openings that are unguarded, and un-patrolled. To add to that, nobody from our Government seems to want to visit the actual US-Mexico Border.
Kamala was questioned during an interview with Lester Holt, from NBC. Below is a transcript from the interview:
LH: “Do you have any plans to visit the Border?”
KH: “I…at some point? You know…I…We are going to the Border. We’ve been to the Border. So…this whole, this whole, this whole thing about the Border, we’ve been to the Border. We’ve been to the Border.”
LH: “You haven’t been to the Border.”
KH: “I…and I haven’t been to Europe. [cackles laughter] and…I mean, I don’t, I don’t understand that point that you’re making. I’m not discounting the importance of the Border.”
Kamala, nor anybody listening, was clear about her response.
Keep in mind this is after Kamala Harris has been placed in charge of our US Border for months. Our Border isn’t connected to Europe’s Border, nor was she put in charge to regulate and control Europe’s Border. The fact that she dodged questions, and the physical responsibility of her duties, shows her lack of understanding of her position as Vice President. Kamala should know avoiding dealing with problems head-on 99% of the time result in the problems getting worse.
Still, Kamala refuses to visit the US Border.
She was placed in control of the security of who enters our country shouldn’t have a decision not to be physically involved. Especially directly following the economical shutdown our major cities endured. The fact she chose to omit even seeing the conditions at the US-Mexico Border, and felt visiting Guatemala would stop our Illegal Immigration Crisis shows how out of touch the people who are running our country actually are.
There is a reason the people making and influencing our Immigration Laws live nowhere near the US-Mexico Border, and even refuse to see it for themselves – in person. Instead our leaders attempt to distort the truth in public interviews, however their actions speak volumes to the American citizens of our country.
