Chris Cuomo has been indefinitely suspended1 from CNN. Chris Cuomo, brother to corrupt politician and ex-governor Andrew Cuomo, had been a host at CNN, where the network referred to him as a “veteran journalist.” Chris Cuomo has been caught abetting his criminal and murderous brother, Andrew Cuomo, using his journalistic resources to investigate the former New York governor’s accusers.
In May of 2021, CNN covered for Chris Cuomo. The network states it had no previous knowledge of the deceptive actions of the former mayor’s brother, stating,
“Chris has not been involved in CNN’s extensive coverage of the allegations against Governor Cuomo — on air or behind the scenes.” The network’s statement added, “In part because, as he has said on his show, he could never be objective. But also because he often serves as a sounding board for his brother. However, it was inappropriate to engage in conversations that included members of the Governor’s staff, which Chris acknowledges. He will not participate in such conversations going forward.”
Upon the public reveal of Chris Cuomo’s incriminating evidence, he pleaded for public forgiveness and the network to reconsider their decision stating,
“It will not happen again.” Cuomoadded, “It was a mistake”
Chris Cuomo’s apologies feel about as honest as his news stories prior to being banned from his network. CNNannounced in a statement, upon the released of the documents,
“The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions,”
In addition to Chris Cuomo’s involvement with his brother’s legal issues, he is also now being accused of sexual harassment2 by an anonymous source. “My client came forward at this time because she felt in sharing her story and related documentation, she could help protect other women,” Debra Katz said in a statement on Sunday. She added that the woman wished to remain anonymous.
Charlotte Bennett, and aide to Andrew Cuomo, and accuser of his sexual harassment stated3 in a tweet,
“Anything short of firing Chris Cuomo reflects a network lacking both morals and a backbone,”
Rather than “fire” the crooked newscaster, the network opted to “indefinitely suspend” him from his duties and his primetime slot on CNN. With Chris Cuomo gone, mainstream journalism and reporting will be a much less politically dramatic and deceptive. What other lies did Chris Cuomo exude that were absorbed by the American population under the guise of CNN?
In an update, CNN announced4 in a statement:
“Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately. While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light. Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate.”
