Jen Psaki Tests Positive for COVID-19

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has tested positive for coronavirus. Jen Psaki was diagnosed with COVID-19 four days after being with Joe Biden, our triple vaccinated U.S. President. Biden, joins other world leaders for the 26th annual Conference of Parties (COP) in Glasgow, where they will discuss concepts for multilateral Climate Change.

On October 31st, 2021, The White House announced that Jen Psaki would no longer be able to join Biden on his COP26 trip “for at least the first few days,” citing a family emergency. Jen Psaki was replaced by White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who traveled with the President.

This announcement came just four days after Jen Psaki‘s last physical contact with U.S. President Joe Biden. The same day Psaki tested positive for coronavirus, Joe Biden arrived in Glasgow for the COP26.

According to the CDC, fully vaccinated people should get tested 5 to 7 days after their last exposure. Could Biden have been affected? Just this year, the FDA has already recalled hundreds of thousands of at-home CoV-2 tests, in addition, the CDC issued a “laboratory alert” over the FDA’s recalled faulty PCR tests. What were the efficacy of Biden’s COVID tests, and what is the percentage that the CoV-2 testing device’s result could have shown a false positive?

Jen Psaki

“On Wednesday, in coordination with senior leadership at the White House and the medical team, I made the decision not to travel on the foreign trip with the President due to a family emergency, which was members of my household testing positive for COVID-19,” Psaki said in the Sunday statement. “Since then, I have quarantined and tested negative (via PCR) for COVID on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. However, today, I tested positive for COVID.”

“While I have not had close contact in person with the president or senior members of the White House staff since Wednesday—and tested negative for four days after that last contact—I am disclosing today’s positive test out of an abundance of transparency. I last saw the president on Tuesday, when we sat outside more than six feet apart, and wore masks.”

She continued: “I will plan to return to work in person at the conclusion of the ten day quarantine following a negative rapid test, which is an additional White House requirement, beyond CDC guidance, taken out of an abundance of caution.”

Statements

Dr. Peter Hotez

“Well, he’s [Biden’s] three times vaccinated, so he should be good unless he has immunodeficiencies we don’t know about,” Dr. Peter Hotez of the Baylor College of Medicine told CNN by email.

Dr. Leana Wen

“Based on the timeline of Ms. Psaki’s testing negative for multiple days following her last encounter with President Biden (which was also outside and masked, therefore very low risk in and of itself),” Dr. Leana Wen, a CNN medical analyst and former Baltimore City health commissioner, said in an email.

Conclusion

The largest concern, beyond Biden’s age (and fate, should he catch the virus), is his potential to spread it among global leaders during the COP26. Thankfully this turned out not to be the case, as an infectious U.S. President would be as devastating as the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) mishandling of the coronavirus, bringing a potentially equal hardship and misfortune upon the world. Whether accidental or deliberate, the CCP chose to suppress information and data from the initial outbreak, resulting in mass infections and death worldwide. Thankfully, America’s President will not be responsible for such atrocities, and Jen Psaki will be allowed to resume to her duties after 10 days.
