New York City, California, and The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs stated on Monday they would “require some or all of their government employees to get vaccinated or be tested weekly.”
COVID-19 vaccines are still under Emergency Use Authorization and awaiting full approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
The Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel wrote “For the three COVID-19 vaccines, FDA implemented the “option to accept or refuse” under section 564 [however] As access to the COVID-19 vaccines has become widespread, numerous educational institutions, employers, and other entities across the United States have announced that they will require individuals to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, enrollment, participation, or some other benefit, service, relationship, or access. For instance, certain schools will require vaccination in order for students to attend class in person, and certain employers will require vaccination as a condition of employment.” adding “Some have questioned whether such entities can lawfully impose such requirements in light of the fact that section 564 instructs that potential vaccine recipients are to be informed that they have the “option to accept or refuse” receipt of the vaccine.8 In the past few months, several lawsuits have also been filed challenging various entities’ vaccination requirements on the same theory. The only judicial decision to have addressed this issue so far summarily rejected the challenge.”
On July 23rd, in a White House Press Conference the question was asked:
Q: “She [Alabama Governor Kay Ivey] says that she doesn’t know what else she can do at this point, that she’s hit a brick wall with trying to convince people to get vaccinated. Is that a sign that perhaps the federal government should step in and issue mandates? And if not, are you putting the needs of unvaccinated people ahead of the needs of vaccinated people?”
MS. PSAKI: “Well, I think the question here — one, that’s not the role of the federal government; that is the role that institutions, private-sector entities, and others may take. That certainly is appropriate. Also, local communities are going to take steps they need to take in order to protect people in their communities.”
In the same White House Press briefing, Jen Psaki stated that the “White House was not requiring officials to be vaccinated.”
Q: “Thanks, Jen. Two questions on the vaccine. First, you had mentioned yesterday that every individual at this White House has been, quote, “offered” a vaccine. So, can you clarify, is the administration not mandating vaccines for White House staff?”
MS. PSAKI: “No, we have not mandated.”
Q “Okay. And do you have a count or can you offer any confirmation to us on the percentage of employees who are vaccinated?”
MS. PSAKI: “I’m not going to provide that. I will see if there is more information to provide.”
Q “Can you offer any guidance then on how you’re confirming vaccination status of employees?”
MS. PSAKI: “Well, they’re vaccinated here in the White House Medical Unit, for the most part.”
It seems there is one set of [mandated] rules for citizens and another set of [unmandated] rules for the Biden Administration and the people who influence their decisions. While it may be simple to author, support, and sign legislation against the average citizen when it isn’t applicable to you. Regardless of vaccination status, regardless of data, the issue here is that the government has found a way around our Constitution and is calling on smaller institutions to enforce their own idea of how society should operate.
If the vaccine is so effective, why does it matter if some people choose to risk not getting the vaccine? Is the variant a serious threat? Or just another form of political weaponization being used to extend the hysteria and promote and increase in revenue and profits for Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, and everyone involved in this pandemic corporate monopoly. There are people who’s job rely on the pandemic existing, in addition to gain financial return from the money that went into research and funding the the booster vaccines. The three vaccine manufacturers are making vaccines for profit. Now that so many Americans are vaccinated, and there has been a decline in new vaccinations, could booster vaccines be the reason for these variant inspired mandates?
